If you stay in a Beach Level unit, the beach is only a few steps away, right outside your door. For the ridge-level units, you must walk down a short ramp.

The beach is sandy. When the tide goes out, it’s a fabulous playground for kids; they can build sandcastles, dig for clams and hunt for shells. At low tide, it’s about a 20-minute walk to the edge of the water. At high tide, the sun heats the shallow water, warming the temperature so that it’s perfect for wading.

Campfires on the beach are not permitted at anytime in the Parksville area. You are welcome to bring a portable gas fire ring and use on your ground floor patio.

Year-round average daily temperatures are available on the Oceanside Tourism site. Current weather conditions and forecasts are available from Environment Canada.

The tide comes in twice a day and the time varies from day to day. For current and predicted high and low tides, check the local tide tables for Nanaimo and Nanoose Bay – Madrona is between both. See Tide Table

A full refund (less a $25 administration fee) will be provided with the required notice of cancellation (see the rates and long-term stays pages for length of notice). Deposits are non-refundable when cancellations are made with less than the required notice.
