Madrona Beach Resort is committed to the safety and well-being of our Guests, Owners and Employees. We want to make sure that everyone feels safe and relaxed during their stay with us. In order to ensure proper cleaning protocols and the welfare everyone at the Resort we have instituted a day of vacancy between stays.
OUR STEPS TO ENSURING YOUR SAFETY
Disinfecting |
We are frequently disinfecting high-touch areas throughout our Resort such as door handles, light switches, room keys when returned, as well as all keypads after each use |
Cleaning |
We complete a full deep-cleaning of each room after each guest departure using cleaning products recommended by the BC Ministry of Health |
Additional Protection Supplies |
Our team has been provided additional cleaning supplies, disinfectants, masks, gloves and hand sanitizer for the safety of each other and our guests |
Social Distancing |
We have adopted no-contact check-in & check-out procedures and ask guests to be mindful of others by maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres (6 feet) and recommend frequent hand washing |
GENERAL PROTOCOLS
Madrona Resort is following all housekeeping protocols provided by the BC Ministry of Health and WorkSafe BC. For the well-being of our guests and team members, employees have been trained on cleaning and disinfecting techniques. Regular cleaning schedules and tracking are in place. Recommended social distancing guidelines and frequent hand washing are being adhered to throughout the resort.
Cleaning Protocols:
- Regularly sanitizing of the front desk, door knobs and other high-touch points
- Disinfecting all room keys when returned, as well as all keypads after each use
- A full deep-cleaning of each suite after each guest has departed using approved cleaning products
- Professionally laundered and sterilized sheets, towels, etc.
- Providing team with additional cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment
- Allowing suites to remain vacant for at least 1 day between guests to allow for proper cleaning and sanitation
Guest Awareness:
We are asking all guests to:
- Be mindful of others by maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres (6 feet)
- Wash your hands frequently
- If you become ill and have recently visited us please contact us as soon as possible so appropriate measures can be taken to protect others
- If you do not feel well and are experiencing symptoms of illness (fever, trouble breathing, coughing, sore throat, fatigue) please postpone your visit until you are well
- Work Safe BC requires that all guests place their dirty linens & towels into provided disposable laundry bags prior to checking out
- Work Safe BC does not allow staff to enter an occupied guest room at this time, except in the case of emergency. In room housekeeping services such as linen changes will not be available during your stay. We are happy to supply fresh sheets if you would like to change your own linens. We will also still offer daily towel exchanges.
FAQ’s:
- Is your Resort open? Yes, we are open with new protocols in place to keep our guests and employees safe.
- Can I visit from out of province? We will welcome out of province guests if they are traveling to our area as long as it is allowed per Provincial Health Authorities. We ask that all guests adhere to government protocols including social distancing, hand washing, and not traveling if you are unwell or if you’ve been exposed to COVID-19.
- Are any restaurants open? Several Parksville restaurants are open for take-out and delivery. Some will be opening soon for dine-in.
